HSLC operates because of the generosity of donors. Every dollar given goes directly to the welfare of all the animals that enter our shelter. Every animal is cared for with shelter, food, water, cleaning, pampering, health evaluations and treatments, and most of all, love.

We organize dozens of events every year to expose our animals to the public and be part of our community. We create educational programs and offer discounted services like spay/neuter, vaccinations,  and microchipping.

Volunteers spend countless hours walking, cuddling, socializing and often training pets to prepare them for furever homes.
