Village of Ruidoso New Ordinance as of January 10, 2023
What Changed: The Village will no longer require licensing for all dogs and cats.
New Ordinance: Mandatory requirement that All dogs and cats be microchipped.
The chip includes the owner’s name, current address and phone number. Owner is responsible to keep information current.
Current Rabies vaccination will still be required to obtain Microchip or voucher can be obtained at HSLC for Rabies.
This applies to everyone who owes or cares for pets that live within the Village of Ruidoso limits.
Appointments NOT required.
Come to shelter during regular hours.
Must bring current Rabies vaccination certification to shelter for animal to be microchipped.
$35 for Microchip
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 10am – 4pm Saturday 11am-3pm Closed Wednesday & Sunday
The Chip process only takes 15 minutes.
